Very high readings after flying?

Hi all, this is my first post, I’m looking to see if anyone else has had a similar experience to me. After the last two flights I’ve been on (one a couple of hours to Europe and the other a 9 hour transatlantic) I’ve experienced really high sugar levels, not only that but they have seemed to rise from within range very very quickly, so difficult to catch and correct.

The hyper symptoms that have come with them have also been really strong, with me feeling really sick (Never ideal for your first night of a holiday!)

I usually have really good control, been diabetic for over 20 years but this seems to be a new one for me.

During the actual flight my levels are great, it’s just around an hour or two after landing. I’m off for a short break next week so would like to avoid this happening again if at all possible!

If anyone has any advice I’d be really interested. Thanks.

Are you on a pump? I seem to remember something about air bubbles or such when flying, making pumps unreliable. Don't remember exactly though.
