He has to ask can he have a treat?Yesterday hubby and I decided to go out to the pub to watch the match, and as he has been such a good boy lately and has been toeing the line with his diet, I thought a couple of pints wouldnt hurt him. Well 6 pints and 5 hours later we head home, its about 5.30, about 7.30 he says he doesnt feel too good, ha ha, I think that will teach you to be a pig,bet your blood sugars through the roof! bBut noo! in fact its 3.8!!!! How did that happen?????
At the moment,Im afraid, yes. He was left to his own devices for 20yrs,which was how he ended up wit a hc1 of 97. He just used to shrug his shoulders at his ever increasing blood sugar readings and carry on regardless. Its like he's in denial. Something had to be done before serious complications set in. And about a month ago just to prove he still doesnt care, I went away for a few days and came home to reading in double figures. He'd been eating rubbish he knew full well was no good for him. He actually does drive me mad!!!xHe has to ask can he have a treat?
Im just confused as to how lager could lower blood sugar. I thought it was basically liquid sugar. Everything Ive read warns against it. Any one got any ideas????x
Ahh! that makes sense,thank you.http://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/hangovers/basics/causes/con-20025464
While your liver is processing alcohol it stops doing its regular job and does not provide sugar when needed.
