I Know they say Diabetics are more tired but I seem to be fighting to stay awake is this normal. I feel totally drained and people are asking me why I sleep so much. I am struggling to do day to day activities and before I know it the day is over.

no that is not normal , did you have you blood checked for anemia .. maybe you lack some nutirents and vitamins ... do you take D3 vitamin that makes people very tired if they lack vitaminn D3 and most diabetic have very low levels of vitamin D3 .. if you get too Little iron from your food then also that could be a reason for being extreemly tired...
have your blood checked for low levels of B12 too

do you exercise do some kind of sport or long walks ..? doing nothing also can make people very tired..

I am heading to the pool right now to swim. I have been sleepy too much too. Sleepy in the way that I want to grab a blinkie and curl up and I do if I can. That is a bad sign for me that my blood sugar is way high. Sometimes I am at 260 to 300. I am going to see if swimming a bit will help my mood and energy.
