Hi everyone, As of next week been diabetic for 5 years I was on diet only for 2 years. Then went onto metaformin as of august 2013 went onto Victozia as well.
My first worry is that My Cholesterol was 4.1 until Blood tests 6 months ago it has shot up to 5.1
I was told if it carry's on I will have to go onto Statins. i am on lots of meds.
worry 2. At night time I am up and down the stairs for 6-8 wee's a night every night now for about 3 weeks. No Bladder Infection. Blood sugars between 5.9 and 7.7
Worry 3.I have also Noticed that I am getting more snappy than normal... I am never snappyor bad tempered even though I have been through alot of stress etc.
Worry 4 I have been getting alot of chest pain over the last 2/3 weeks.
Sorry to Put up so many things at once.
I have got Diabetic Blood tests tomorrow and Diabetic Nurse on 7th April.

Hi,
i would see your gp as your symptoms may be something not connected to your diabetes,
let us know how u get on:)

I'm not saying it is at all but the Victoza stopped working with me after a few months and had to go on to insulin, so I would go and see gp about it

Type 2 diagnosed 24/01/2013.
Novomix 30, Victoza, metformin 2000mg sr (but not taking them as they play havoc with my insides,

Hi. I cannot provide any explanation for the frequent weeing, so I would certainly see the doc as it can't be a prostate problem! I would also start or keep up with a low-carb diet. I assume the Victoza is to help manage blood sugar whilst being overweight. Weight reduction has so many benefits I would give it really high priority. I wouldn't worry about statins. A level of 5.1 is fine and doesn't need statins assuming you believe in them anyway.

Been Doctor saw a Emergency one. I have a cest infection and Bladder Infection. I have been given pills. But he also took full Diabetic bloods as I needed them doing. Also My blood pressure is very low as well. but he said that could be the fact that I feel so awful.

Stress will also play a big factor and you need to get the chest pain seen too to rule out angina or any other heart problem. This could be related to the stress you are under
