Diagnosed in March with Hb1ac of 10.2; tested again in May 9.2; then joined this forum. Result today 5.9

On the downside; the doc said i don't need to test now, so no strips

Well done you :clap: yes you do need to test, to make sure you stay at the great bs level youve reached. Also if you drive it is a legal requirement that you test before driving and during a long drive. It's about cutting costs for the surgeries, nothing at all to do with you sucessfully getting your BS under control. Read the threads on the diabetic discussions forum, Revoked licence.

Test before driving ? If type 2 controlled by diet and metformin only ? Thats not a legal requirement is it ??
