Vitamin B Injections For Neuropathy

Does anyone kno where I can go to get some Vitamin b12 injections to treat my Neuropathy (I'm in Doncaster). I have limited feelings in my hands and feet and believe this started with Metformin Which warns about the body's ability to absorb vitamin B!. Thanks in anticipation,

Have you asked your GP?

Your theory about neuropathy, metformin and vitamin b12 is interesting.
I have read about metformin and vitamin b12 deficiency before but never read about the link with neuropathy.
Given neuropathy is a complication for people with type 1 who do not take metformin, I am a bit sceptical.
Nevertheless, I hope you see some improvement with your b12 injection.
If so, please share as it may be useful for others with neuropathy.

As you will see from my thread below, I am investigating this on behalf of my father in law who has diabetic neuropathy and has been getting vit B12 injections for years (no improvement) due to his metformin induced deficiency. Symtoms* of B12 deficiency are a bit vague but unlike the supplement mentioned below, B12 jabs are available on the NHS so it is worth asking your GP.
*Poor hair condition
Eczema or dermitis
Mouth ulcer, sensitive to heat or cold
Irritability
Lack of energy
Constipation
Tender or sore muscles
Pale Skin
The thread I started references R- alpha linoeic acid. It is regarded as safe because its a naturally produced substance. I checked and the only contraindications are being pregnant and/or taking insulin or sulphonyureas of which metformin is not one. The downside is that it is not cheap and it seems you need to be careful to get the bio-active versions.
I have also got a book on a similar topic 'The Antioxidant Miracle' Lester Parker which was given a very positive review by someone on this forum who had radically improved their symptoms.
