Self absorbed and rude people! Motorists who are oblivious to the rest of the world, and really don't give a ****!
With recent revelations that Vitamin B12 could be beneficial to T2s, more especially those on Metformin, I am seriously interested to know others views on this, if they take the supplement, has it been of benefit and any other information on the topic. I am thinking of taking a daily dose, but also appreciate that too much of a vitamin can be just as bad as not enough, also not looking to spend money on just another researcher's whim!

As someone who was found to be deficient in Vit B12 all I will say is before taking ANY supplement make sure you are actually deficient in it. An overdose of many vitamins can also be detrimental to your health.

My deficiency arose after anti cancer treatment so they weren't sure if it was as a result of that or the metformin I had taken. I never had any symptoms it was just pcked up on a blood test.
The remedy is either a course of injections or the option I took - daily dose of Cyanocobalamin
tabs. After having to inject twice daily and enduring other jabs I didn't want to have any more.
As to whether it does anything ? Well I never felt bad before and have noticed no difference since, however my levels are all as they should be now. It is on prescription so no reason anybody should need to purchase it.

See your GP for a blood test which should be done fairly regularly if you are on Metformin
.

Cugila,

Thanks for your reply, I will ask my GP next time I visit her.
