Vitamins

I take a multi vitamin tablet for women 50+ as I have early signs of age related macular degeneration in my eyes and taking a good multi vitamin tablet is recommended along with a healthy diet with plenty of fruit and vegetables
 
You should be able to get most of your vitamins from the food you eat, but if you want to take a supplement then the choice is yours. I take Cod Liver Oil everyday and have done for 20+ years, other than that it's just diet.
 
I never take supplements. I try to get all my nutrients from food, and work hard at this. If my general health or blood tests showed a deficiency I would consider it, but only prescribed by my GP. You can overdose.
 
I am over 50 and I take coq10, garlic, over 50 multi vit and high stength vit d3 and a k2 and cod liver oil and a vit c.

Although I eat a salad and veg every day and walnuts and berries with cream or a main meal with veg and also a few slices of cheese and 2 sq 91% choc and cream in coffee . I am still not a big eater and never will be, so compared to those that eat 3 meals a day and snack as well I don't think my food provides me enough vitamins.. Especially when you look at how the vitamins have depleted in veg n salad in the past 100 years.

I just never have ate a lot but the balance of food, vitamins and fats have kept me well (except after the flu jab) and the vit d3 has enable my brain to be mentally better than previously. Thankfully all my friends have had colds for weeks and the germs from them have not taken hold with me...

I take vit d, vit b12, omega 3 supplements, vit c, potassium, magnesium, chromium - at the moment.
I am not, unfortunately, consistent in taking them every day.
 
Yes, I forgot magnesium.. I take that too!

I'm lucky. My hubby puts them on a tray with my walnuts and 2 pieces of dark chocolate every morning. So when I come home and eat they are there for me!! I'm so lucky he so caring, he always makes the dinner too and leaves in fridge if he's on late shifts!!
