hey guys i want to ask does walking affect your sugar level alot other day i was at 11mmols had no active and i was walkin for like 10-15mins i found i went down to like 8.5mmol hour later when i checked my sugar. want to ask does walking lower your sugar level?.

yes, walking can certainly drop your blood sugar down, especially if you walk fast. I've walked a lot today and make sure I have a bar or something with me or I'd be in trouble. I try not to go walking unless I have some sweets or something in my pocket, just in case.
 
Certainly does... I often take a gentle half hour walk rather than take a correction dose if high after a meal.
 
Definitely. I'm also someone who prefers to walk rather than take a correction dose if possible.
 
Same here, for me it drops quickly if I have taken Novo Rapid 3 hours since, but after that when there is only basal in my system its more of a steady drop.
 
Generally walking does not affect my BG but othe exercise such as running or cycling will result in a BG drop.
The amount depends on how hard/fast I run, how long I run for and ... most importantly for me, how much insulin I have on board.
 
Typically I have experience where it can have minor short term effects for a short duration of time. Walking is considered a type 1 exercise which can be replaced with a type 2a exercise such as sprints so you can see much better results in lowering glucose levels short term and reducing basal rates in the long term if performed on a weekly basis :)

Be careful with insulin dosages if you try new more intense workouts!
