Wanting to put some weight on...

I am now around 10st 4 lbs which I really aren't that comfortable with being just short of 6ft. I would ideally like to put some weight on but all the information that I can find is pretty much for those people who want to loose weight.

Surely there is a plan/diet that I can follow to gain weight safely.

I wouldn't mind eating something each day that for example would make me gain weight.

Any ideas or feedback etc appreciated.

I'm in the same boat. I have upped my calorie intake, although finding it difficult because I don't really want to increase my carbs. I've just added a little more protein and added cheese to my diet.

Same problem here, hubby diagnosed recently Type1, he lost 4 stone in a month, since being diagnosed ( 2 weeks ago) he is still losing weight. He looks half starved bless him

I would be inclined to increase proteins and fats before increasing the carbs and see how it goes. BTW some people who are not overweight are sometimes diagnosed as T2 when they may actually be a T1. If your blood sugar starts creeping up and the weight stays down then do come back and ask for more info or see the GP of course.

Same here, trying to keep weight on is my problem too! I've always been tiny (luckily), want to cut carbs but don't want to lose weight!

I think if you have normal kidney eGFR tests, then you can increase your protein, but I would be sure I'm getting enough fat to replace the lost carbs as a first choice
I would be tempted to increase my meds and add carbs before I put the protein up too much
