My GP (Dr Doom).
Hope the patch and link work, this is a doctor and his talk is aimed at a higher audience than the general public but toward the back end of the video I can clearly understand his message on STATINS.

At my HBA1C review 3 days ago, my cholestorol was 7.3 and the GP started writing a script and said I was going on Statins and she never looked at me once just fire & brimstone came out of her mouth with fear talk if I didn't take these drugs. My wife has had 3 heart attacks and was on a group called VASTINS, SIMVASTIN is one of them and if you're on it the chances are you're in pain with your joints, my wife suffered horrific 24 hour a day pain whilst on SIMVASTIN and the GP said she had osteo. The pain went as soon as they took her off VASTINS.

Whilst I agree that those, like my wife, with CVD and an event has occured need STATINS, I refused the script as I'd already seen this video, she just tore it up and binned it, printed off a yard of andrex on STATINS and atherosclerosis and cursed me as I walked out the door. I support the view that any drug that doesn't have a side effect probably doesn't have a therapeutic effect but with the FDA and doctors going public on film to say that STATINS raise BG levels needs a bit of thought I think.

I hope you find this link works, please do feedback. I'm new to this and full of fear about what I don't yet understand. Here's the link

Kind wishes to all, Q..

I'm so glad you dont suffer the pain. Be interesting if we knew if your BG were up because you take statins. This doctor isn't the only one to state BG rises as a result of statin use.
