Has anyone had issues with the Wavesense Jazz testing strips being inaccurate?

I had a hypo on Friday night, without noticing it before I fell unconscious. Luckily, there was a first aider nearby with his own meter who tested me and my bs level was at 3.3, despite my own meter telling me that my bs was 4.7 a few seconds after.

I tried telling my DN, but she was adamant that it's not the meter, but the time in-between the first and second bs readings. I was astonished by this, as I thought that after a 20 second time gap, its a bit suspicious how much of a difference my BS was between two different meter readings.

Any ideas on what would be a suitable bs meter, as the Wavesense Jazz meter by my doctor has been sent back 3 times due to the same error.
