Hi my husband and I have had type 2 for 3 years and i'm on metformin tablet and he is on metformin liquid. We both suffer with
diverticular disease and cannot eat any nuts or seeds and fruit/veg is also a big problem. I'm finding it very difficult to find food that we can both eat to keep our sugars low. Any help would be much appreciated.

Fish, meat, eggs, cheese?
How about using a superblender to reduce a salad to something drinkable?
I'd have thought that Metformin, with the usual consequences, would be problematic with diverticular disease.

Yes high fibre diet can cause you and your husband some nasty side affects. White foods can settle your problem down in minutes.
Metformin should help with that specialist diet.
It is annoying as without your addition health problem you may both have been able to drop the metformin.
Is there an addition problem as to why your partner has liquid metformin, other than diviticulitis?
