Must get my car 'valeted' its a disgrace !

Hubby has valeted my car this morning both inside and out of it
Its gleaming now !!!
Trouble is its a convertible so when my top is down all dust and bits
will get blown back in ... 'duh'

Anyone else 'love' the smell of newly mown grass - 'I do'
Can smell it now - neighbours have mown their lawn ...
The first cut of this year .
Both smells and looks so nice

Anna.

No 'gardening' around here yet, neither us nor even the neighbours who usually start well before us. I have just been walking around appreciating the spring flowers. I noticed this morning that the daffodils were flowering now.

I am very lucky with our garden, I have one of those gadgets that fits into the garden like magic.
In fact Josephine is out there now getting stuck in.
All I have to do is play with my old petrol lawn mower and cut the grass.

I think I am a bad husband as I just come back after a little fun drive with Grace.
"What do you mean I have to make dinner as my daughters are coming round".

Roy,

Spring Madness is in both my back garden and garage
[its my hubs  ]
Hubby is huffing n puffing in garage getting all my
garden furniture out to clean .

2 sets of garden tables and chairs . [garden/courtyard is on 2 levels]
Our house is heavily south facing and gets very warm even today .

Then we will put it all out with our new solar powered lamps on the tables
Have a drink out there later and watch the light show

Roy - my dad disappears n tinkers for hours with his vintage car , to avoid the washing up!
You boys and your toys

Anna.

I have five garden gnomes in my front garden. I bought them for a laugh and placed them in various parts of the garden and I move them around from time to time, but for the last three months I've kept them huddled together in a corner beside my front door because I thought they'd keep warmer together rather than out there all alone exposed to all the snow. So they're covered in leaves and a bit grubby but they don't half make me laugh every time I put my key in the door because they look like they're plotting to overthrow parliament!

That's all for this week

Another weekend folks!

Given the new spring season upon us all .
I have noticed loads of bird activities around me this week .
It has given me inspiration for this weekends theme .

Name a type of 'bird' ...

To get us all started I have seen lots of chaffinch birds .

Anna.

Blackbirds - I love their song first thing in the morning echoing in the still air.

I love robins too - we always have just one in the winter. They defend their territories fiercely.

Crows, which I hate because they attack my cat as they've got a nest right at the top of one of our trees although she can't get up there. I also hate the raucous noise they make.

Buzzards - we occasionally get them in the garden. Still trying to get a decent photo of one.

We have had some "pigeons" as BIG as ducks
They keep emptying our bird bath as they bath and bash about in it !
Have had to keep refilling it up for them .

Crows are so horrible that I think they must taste horrible too. Anyway, isn't it four and twenty blackbirds you put in pies?
