Another weekend .

This weekend's theme is name a dream of yours .
Tell us how or why this is ...

To get us started I loved doing ballet as a young girl .
Wished many times I was/could be good enough to dance on stage as a principle ballerina .

Anna .

Like most little girls, I wanted to be a princess :P
Not any more though.....

That's lovely izzzi, I hope we continue to be in your dreams

My dream is to have a lovely wife and four children that grow up to be sensible adults. "lord above I am still dreaming" Thanks !
Well what more can I ask or dream for.
I am now off to spend £2 on this new Lottery con.( now there is a "dream" winning the lottery )

Thank you Izzzi for this - it made me  and :D

Nothing wrong with dreaming to win the lottery ...
What would you 'do' if you won this ?

Anna .

If I won the Lottery, I would probably travel to all those lovely places in the world. Italy would be my dream home, I might also pop up to Daisy's place for a few days as it does look like the bees knees. Then move back to Scotland and buy Inveraray Castle and invite you all up for a well earned holiday.

When I was a wee boy the in-thing was playing Jories (Marbles).
Me and my pals had large and small glass ones of course, but if
you were lucky enough to own a "Steely" (basically a steel ball bearing)
you were sure to win, unless one of your pals also had one.
And if you owned a Large steely, well,,, you were the king of the street. lol
I lost quite a few small ones during some of the games and had to wait ages
before I came across another one.
So, and this is really infantile, :D I used to dream of owning a
tea chest full of them in my bedroom sitting right beside my bed.
Heck, I can still recall day-dreaming about them.

Thank you for the memory Anna.

Izzzi - thanks for sharing your lottery win with us all

Willie - interesting story and hope you have enjoyed dreaming 'more' about a box load of huge steel shiny balls :)

Where would we all be without our memories

Till next weekend folks !

Another weekend .

As we are heading well into the Autumn now .

This weekends theme is tell and share with us your favourite Autumn thing
Pop any great autumn picky scenes up if you wish .

To get us all started I LOVE the Autumn simply for the much coooooler weather
I really cant cope with the heat and muggy summer well at all .

Now is the time for fun.
Here is a little tip to give the grandchildren "It's very important to take your time over drilling the hole. Apparently, a hacked out hole through the core will start cracks from the inside out, that will severely weaken even the most toughened shell".

Yep, it just has to be the colours that win you over, Anna.

Did you clear that with the 'elf and safety brigade, izzzi?

Willie I have just heard that a guy from our local town Kettering has just won the 2013 world conker championship. This should save Great Britain's economy and bring foreign business into our country.
Not to mention Britain's Pumpkin

Another weekend .

Be wild and free this weekend :P
Tell or share with us what makes you feel wild and free ...

To get us all started off -
I ADORE heading off to the lake district in my car off peak times when its quieter .
Go walking , fresh air , beautiful scenery , nature makes me feel so alive and free .
Can think more clearly , blow away the cobwebs , declutter my head
and appreciate the beautiful things in life 'more' ...

Anna .

I always feel free when I see the sea, and would love to go wild on a boat.

IF ONLY I COULD SWIM

Splish splash was having a bath.
Splash splish, I was having a wish (what else?)
Me wish is just as izzzi's dream,
I wish I could swim, even in a small stream.
And if I could swim I'd buy a boat,
But me wifey says I'm a silly old goat.
So I'd better shut up and apologise
for posting this utter infantile garbage.

Yes Anna, I'd love to swim and go somewhere warm at this
time of year to enjoy a week or so of sunbathing and swimming,
but swimming properly has eluded me.
Despite all the years of taking the children regularly to the local
baths I can only swim if I take a big gulp of air first.
My swim lasts as long as the air intake.

Ah well, some you win and some you loose, I guess.
But we can a least dream about it.

This weekend the clocks go back an hour . [UK and Europe]

What do you do you do with the extra 'hour' of time ?

To get us all started - I get all the laundry done in the extra hour [cheap rate wash  ]
Pre-load my washing machine up the night before .

Anna .
