It's that time of week again... this week we're sharing weird and wacky facts!!

So let's hear the most interesting facts you know!

I'll start it off with this one:
If Barbie were a real woman, her head would be the same circumference as her waist, meaning she’d have room for only half a liver and a few inches of intestines, (as opposed to the usual 26 feet). The result: chronic diarrhea and death from malabsorption & malnutrition.

Arachibutyrophobia is the fear of peanut butter sticking to the roof of your mouth.

How about, Peanut butter does not contain butter,
but peanut butter can be made into diamonds.
I think I am being scammed again.

So, peanuts are a girl's best friend. I'll remember that on her birthday!!

Since we're on to a new page, here's a reminder that this week's topic is:

Weird/interesting facts

Alien Hand Syndrome is the condition that one hand acts completely on its own. One longtime smoker with AHS repeatedly put a cigarette into her mouth with her good hand, whereupon her alien hand would remove the cigarette before it could be lit.

Scientists took the words of the song "It’s a Small World" and
translated it into a code based on the four “letters” (ATCG) of DNA.
They then created artificial DNA strands recording various parts
of the song.
These DNA messages, each roughly 150 bases long, were inserted
into bacteria such as Deinococcus radiodurans......
(known as the world’s toughest bacterium), which is especially
good at surviving extreme conditions.
It can tolerate high temperatures, ultraviolet light, desiccation, and
ionising radiation doses 1000 times higher than would be fatal to humans.

A EARLY SIGN OF DIABETES WAS "HONEY URINE" NOTICING THE URINE WOUL  D ATTRACT ANTS.

Women do NOT want an honest answer to the question, ‘How do I look?’

 That's all for now!

This weekends theme is name a beach [worldwide]
Also tell us of any happy beach days/times you may have had if you wish

To get us all started - Miami Beach USA.

Anna .

90-mile beach on the North Island of New Zealand. It's actually about 60 miles in length, but the Maoris measured it as 90. Fond memories of sand surfing in the dunes, seeing a cordoned off Maori burial site on the beach, watching the Tasman and Pacific crashing together where they meet, and wild horses. Oddly enough, there's the remains of a car at one point which is buried in the sand and partially reappears from time to time. Oh and being driven down it's length in a rickety minibus .... not good for the 'piles'!!

That's the equivalent to the South Of France to you! :D

Brighton Beach - where we always used to drive down to during the holidays. It was the nearest beach to us and was a real treat to go there. I did suffer afterwards as I always burnt badly in the sun.

Sandwood Bay Beach Scotland.

Reputed to be one of the cleanest and most unspoilt beaches in the whole of mainland Britain.
(mind you, that could have been recorded in 1713 for all I know) :D
