soaps on telly and people talking about the characters as if they were real.
T1 husband and I have just returned from a weekend visit to friends in Dorset. Had a wonderful time. We've all been friends for over 40 years. However keeping to strict low carb wasn't possible. I had to resort to taking the odd Starlix. I was as careful as I could and kept BG below 6 all weekend.
I don't suppose I've done much damage. Just won't have lost weight and I wasn't having much luck with that anyway.

Glad you mentioned batter, had some beer-battered cod the other week and spiked to 12.6 [2 hour post] forgot to mention it on here.....then last night had pork fillet supper out of chinese, again in batter, and shot up to 9.3, dunno why i thought batter would be good for me, but at least i've identified it as baad :)

Things which otherwise look good but are "breaded" are my nightmare. Batter is a bit better but not by much. I can just about get away with battered whitebait if I eat a lot of salad and none of the chips and go for a brisk walk afterwards, but fish and chips are but a distant memory.

Hiya

I had a battererd fish from th chippy on Friday not had one since testin so thought i'd give it a try also had small portion of chips probably 12
1 hour after eating 7.2

exercise bike for 20 mins then tested 6.2

3 hours after 10.1 woweee won't be having battered fish again lol that's my biggest reading since diagnosis!
