weight gain on low carb

Just try an ordinary coffee with double cream. You are trying to lose some weight so adding all those other ingredients won't help a great deal.

Why not.. I cut out breakfast completely when diagnosed so don't eat before lunchtime .. give the coffee a try and see how you go..

Yes, a very commercial operation, and nothing like the original drink he claims to have got the inspiration from.
But, one day I shall try the butter tea in Tibet. Nepal is on my list of places to stop in.

My husband remembers drinking tea with yak butter when he went trekking in Nepal. At the start of the trek noone liked the drink but by the end they were gulping it down!!
 
Also particularly tricky due to the lack of fridges - the yak butter was not always of the freshest. It got them to near Base camp, however, the Sherpas running ahead with cooking equipment etc.
 
Ah, you've got me thinking now.
I've just been looking at flights to Kathmandu, and treks in Nepal.
Maybe later this year, or early next year..........
