Good Morning Everyone. I am a type 2 diabetic and have been so about 15 years . As the years have gone by I have had to go on various medications for other health issues and almost all of them give a warning that they might result in a weight gain!
I have despite many diets still not found a way of losing and keeping the weight off. Does anyone actually know an answer to this conundrum. My doctors simply pooh pooh this issue as they say the weight gain would be minimal. I am beginning to lose my patience and seriously thinking about dropping all the meds that imply a weight gain.
Your comments, advice or just your own views would be very welcome.

Hi and welcome @Phill58
I think it would be useful to know what conditions you have and what medications you are on first.

Many of us have managed to reduce our weight and maintain that loss over time by reducing our carbohydrate intake but without knowing further details it's difficult to know if that may help you too.

The book 'The Obesity Code' by Jason Fung is a great start. Then take a look at thedietdoctor.com.

Reading this forum is also a great source of information.
