Weight loss and Energy efficiency

I've been trying to lose weight from 89 kilos for more than three months now. I am recording what happens in terms of my will power on my blog in an attempt to make sense of what is actually happening at each point I eat more and thus stop the weight loss in its tracks. I seem to naturally all into a feasting / fasting cycle of a few days of each.

.I haven't seen any research on exactly how your body arrives at the "natural " set point in terms of the weight your body fluctuates around.

I am beginning to think though that one part of that might be - that that point is when you are the most energy efficient -in terms of the combination of blood sugars and ketones being used in the body .

This seems to be exactly where I currently am. Its hard to see how one can get any lower than a fasting average blood sugar of 3.9 (today's reading ) and ketones of only 0.5 with an under 30g carbs . diet. According to this research this seems to put me at the extreme optimal end of the total energy charts.

Maybe that helps explain why I fluctuate around the same point and my mind does not allow me to overcome the temptations every few days? Does anyone else have any figures around total energy ( bs and ketones) versus actual weight ? or any observations on " total energy" as a concept ?

Close enough to the impossible question as we all react differently. 20 kilos is a great start but no formula that I can think of

By Energy Efficiency do you mean Basic Metabolic Rate? Or put another way, the number of calories we require to survive if in a coma laid up in bed.

As known as we do low carb each of us has a little different point we come to learn is our ''dont go over'' carbs--- mine is 20 carbs a day if I want to loose weight- to maintain my loss I have to stay 21 -25 a day - when pinkish instead of deep purple we are still burning fat and in ketosis - and this color changes throughout the day Im sure you have noticed , and I have learned stress is a major factor even if I stuck to this , sometimes I think we just have to go with the flow and stick to our own plan and it will take care of itself .
Energy efficiency- Took me about a year to get all this figured out for me and untill I actually had some energy took a year - so I learned I needed more salt , fat , and protein to eat for more energy if I wanted to feel energy. Sorry if im rambling I am real passionate about all this.
