What do you eat?

I found that cutting right down on high carb foods did much more to improve my glucose levels that any weight loss I achieved.

Hi and welcome @Railman74 :)

I see from your profile that you are on insulin and metformin.
Can you let us know what insulin you use? Is it fixed doses, or do you count carbs and adjust your insulin doses for each meal?

Also, you mentioned ‘ups and downs’. Are those emotional ups and downs, or blood glucose ups and downs?

Glad you joined the forum,

Im on novorapid for day time use and levamir for over night

Hi there - are you on fixed doses of insulin, or do you vary your insulin does, depending on what you're eating?

Vary doses but night time is fixed

Thank you. We sometimes have members on fixed doses of insulin making significant dietary changes, which leads to concern. Obviously, if you are comfortable adjusting your doses, that's great.
