Good evening everyone.
I attended a routine foot inspection yesterday with a nurse and told her that I've lost around 9kg in weight since January.
I started my first active job in my whole life in January (I was previously office based) and I'm walking between 2 and 4 miles a day, as well as lumping large office equiptment up and down stairs. Its fair to say this is the most excercise I have had in the past decade and was enjoying the feeling of been tired at night. Due to the newjob, I found my sugars have been really low, and I was having around two hypos a day, making the blood glucose levels fluctuate between high and low due to my dextrose tablets. I had to reduce my insuln from 18 units twice a day, to 12 units twice a day and the sugars levelled out. I put the weight loss down to the active job, but the nurse sent me for some routine blood tests anyway to be on the safe side.
I give the blood samples this morning, and received a call (which I missed) from the doctors at 6.10pm this evening. They left a voicemail asking me to call them back regarding my blood results, but when I returned the call at 6.30pm, the office had closed. My mind is now racing thinking the worst case scenarios as there was a full blood count request, lipids, kidney and liver functions. I'm just wondering what kind of results would make the surgery call me so quickly. Could this be down to ups and down in my glucose levels and have effected my hb1ac? Or would they inform me of that in a less urgent manner? Basically, I want to know if anyone has had such a quick call from the doctor, and what the reason was for?
Thanks for taking the time to read
