Something which is getting me down, i was diagnosed with T2 in jan 07, i take x1 metformin and x1 Glitzide a day, since then i have lost loads of weight, the thing is i was slim anyway so i am extra slim, it gets to me when all i get is "your lost weight" from people.

So the question is do the tablets do this to you?

On another note dry eyes is this caused by the tablets trouble focusing, i know what you will say have you had a retinal scan, the answer is yes and it came back fine??

HELP..

I found Gliclazide put weight on me. I ditched it and have lost weight since.

Are your blood sugar levels still high? If they are this could be the reason for losing weight in spite of eating a lot. If you are having unexplained weight loss(because of high BS or any other reason) then you should return to your doctor.

Yes, I agree about seeing the doc again.

Some type twos are really type ones and can be mis diagnosed. They are really insulin deficient and the reason you are losing weight is because you are peeing out glucose that isn't being stored (from insulin) in your tissue cells.

You can test your urine with special stix you can buy in the chemist or get from your doc.
