Hi everyone does anyone know if it's possible to gain weight again I was 12 stone but before being diagnosed I've lost 2 stone for no reason which I'm looking really skinny now

Your question is a bit vague. However, losing that much weight without any reasonable explanation is something you should absolutely speak to a doctor about.

Are you recently diagnosed? Do you test your blood sugar or have you had a recent a1c?

Lack of insulin can cause people to lose unhealthy weight and unexplained weight loss is a symptom that hints towards possibly having T1. Did your doctor perform any additional tests to confirm your diagnosis? The most common two are the C-Peptide and GAD Antibody tests.

I lost weight in the run up to being diagnosed T2, I even had one cousin tell me how well I looked :). I soon put it all back on (thank you gliclazide) but have now lost it again, plus a bit more thanks to lchf. I`m by no means an expert on this but I don`t think it`s too unusual, however, as @TorqPenderloin says ANY unexplained weight loss, especially that amount certainly needs investigating.

I was diagnosed with diabetes about 4 weeks ago they put me tables but that didn't work because my blood sugar levels were 26 most of the time I'm on insulin injections now lantus in the morning and novorapid everytime I have a meal

As Torq said you could be LADA or type1 now. I lost 20#s that I shouldn't have lost before diagnosis and after staring insulin it came back on and stopped right where I should have been. Insulin will help you absorb your nutrients and the weight should come back. Many lose weight with bs that high.

They haven't said what type I am yet so I'm not sure I'll have to ask my nurse this week as it's all new to me at the moment there's lots to take it in hopefully the Weight will come back thanks
