I was diagnosed T2 about a year ago and was put on Metformin which made me ill. So I decided on a LCHF diet and am very strict with it. My readings are around 6 on hbA1c I feel fine, exercise regularly and still have an active job despite my age...just 73. However, despite this regime I cannot lose weight. Could this be contributed to heart medication which I have been on for 20yrs?

Have you researched your heart medication to see if this is the cause of your inability to lose weight?

How low do you go with carbs? Cutting back even further can help. Having said that I cant lose weight on LCHF either.

You could check drugs.com for some added information about your hearth medication as @catherinecherub suggested. It does get a bit harder to lose weight when older.
