Weight loss

I was diagnosed type 2 12 months ago. I wasn't over weight - size 8 - 10, but the weight has fallen off me since being diagnosed and at 7 stone I am under weight. I have had poor control, but am now on a tablet that seems to be working. How can I put on some weight?
