Hi everybody,
After seeing my eye specialist on tuesday he said that i needed more tests on my eyes! yesterday i got called to have a appointment with a neuroligist!
He said that i needed a ct scan of my eyes to check for pressure etc, as i have been having severe headaches and sickness with eyepain!
came out after ct scan, went back in to see the doctor, he said that he can explain how come my eyesight has got so bad and the pain in my eyes and the headaches can be explained!
he was really nice, he sat me down and explained very slowly about everything, he said that the pressure in my eyes are causing nerve damage, he said have you ever heard of glaucoma?, i answered yes my mum has it! he said i don't want you to be scared this is what is happening!
glaucoma causes pressure in the nerves and veins in your eyes, causes severe damage to the eyes, he said that it is unusual in someone my age, being 33 nearly 34!
he also explained to me that once the damage is done that it can not be undone, but he explained that he will walk me through the process! He said after tests done, i am colour blind and my eyesight is very poor now! he is going to write to my eye specialist at the hospital to advise him where we are with my eyes!
i must admit i am scared stiff! as i noticed yesterday how much my eyes have changed! I can not go shopping by myself! My fiancee goes shopping with me! As my eyesight is that bad i cannot see small writting etc!
The neuroligist said that the new doctor has done right by me! she has rushed things through! i know that there are things that are happening! yesterday while at hospital! My blood sugar went up to 19.2, the neroligist said that things need to be pushed through to get me sorted without having to go through all that is happening!
i am on the low carb diet! I am doing as everybody has advised even though when i saw the nurse the other day she said that i should not be having high carb not low carb! and i thought no way!
Just got another 10 days then i have the glucose intollerence test and then should be able to get the pffical result as all the doctor say they already know what it is going to show!
