What about the smart insulin ?

Excuse my ignorance, but what's Smart Insulin?

Idea is that you inject it once a day and it hangs about in the body until it's needed. So even though you have a lot of insulin you won't go hypo. Still in research phase but human trials started in November last year.

I read before that the smart insulin will be injected once a week
