What are my chances of having diabetes

I do not have diabetes
hi

I have been a bit worried about diabetes a long time, even since I was about 7 and first heard about it. I am now 17 and have had some symptoms
These include thirst and going to the toilet a lot. These are the only major symptoms I've had
The thirst is not desperate but I'm not sure how thirsty undisgnosed diabetics do get. For some reason I am often thirstier after drinking, but not thirsty after eating a meal
I have been needing to go to the toilet a lot more, sometimes several times an hr. But it's almost never at night which I hear is common
Also I may have lost s bit of weight but I have had a cold
I had 2 urine tests about 3 weeks apart and they were both negative (for glucose)
I then had a fasting blood test and this was also negative
I may have also had a hb1ac but I am not sure. But if I have this came negative too

I admit it sounds very unlikely
But what are my chances? Is it literally impossible that I have diabetes (type 1 or 2?)

Thanks all

Hi. did somebody close to you have diabetes? Or a school friend that had difficulities? I ask because you have worried about this for a long time so something must have affected you at that young age...all the tests you have had are negative so you shouldn't still be worried. I'm sorry it is concerning you

No, not really.. It's strange. I just hate thought of injecting for life (since its type 1 im worried about)
Thanks
Hopefully I'll be fine ;)

All I can say is you have had all the standard tests and if they were negative then you should breathe easy. If you are concerned about the thirst I would talk to your doctor esp if you are still thirsty after drinking. Take care

We can't diagnose you. Only your GP can do that. if you are concerned, go and see him. Sorry to sound harsh when you are worried, but there is nothing we can suggest to put your mind at rest or otherwise.

Given your results I do think your worrying yourself unnecessarily about having diabetes, however if the symptoms persist you should see your gp (as advised) as they could be other causes that need investigating.

Hi. Sounds like you are OK at least at present. You could always buy a glucose meter and check every so often 2 hours after a meal but don't be obsessive about it
