Depressed People, Girls my age who think everything is about them and always whine about "Awwwwww, he's cheating on me!" and blah, blah, blah..
Hey there,

Just thought I might start this thread to get to know some more people better, which might help some people and also, just so our Diabetic Community might be closer?

I chose music for this, as almost everybody listens to music quite a lot, myself included.

Now, not everybody's intrest in music is the same, I'm personally a heavy/power/speed/epic Metal fan, among other things, but generally I have a large acceptance for other types of music. Perhaps you will find new music and new friends here? :)

What I'll do is name a few bands I like this week/month and give a little preview of their music. :)

I haven't long discovered a band by the name of Blind Guardian, who are a huge inspiration to me, and many other bands for that matter. I find them amazing. Here are a few previews. :)

Another band is Hammerfall. I've known them for ages, and love them. A great English signing, Swedish band!

(P.S This thread is aloud.. I hope?)

(EDIT: I just found a thread that is ment for the exact same purpose as this.. ****.)

But I love all kinds from SIouxsie and the Banshees, The Cure, Depeche Mode, Goldfrapp, The Last Shadow Puppets, Cocteau Twins, Echo and the Bunnymen, David Bowie, Japan , David Sylvian, Duran Duran ( early stuff ), old punk and new wave and old synthy stuff generally .
Bit of an old Goth me!!

Currently catching up on a bunch of Later With Jools Holland and some of last year's Proms which I recorded and never got around to watching yet. Before that were some historical jazz programmes, Bird, Trane, Miles etc.

I don't like Country or Western, although Copperhead Road by Steve Earle is good and so far my only purchase fromthe C&W bit of my local HMV.
Not fond of (c)rap or poppy dance music.

I'm ok with just about anything else, gergorian chants to all forms of metal.
Love crossover and mixed genre music.
Fintroll - metal and folksy, country dance music, yes its as odd as it sounds but went down a storm at a recent ceildih when I got my hands on the music machine.

Currently listening to Rezillos, Deep Purple, Porcupine Tree and Carter USM
