I have a doctor's appointment in 2 days and I know the diabetes doctor is going to have blood work drawn. What all are they looking for?

Most commonly your HbA1c - which is a measure of your average blood glucose readings over the past 2 to 3 months. Probably they will also check your kidney function

If you're still undergoing diagnosis, then also GAD Antibodies.

For me they do a load of diabetes related tests routinely on the same blood draw
Hba1c, fastng glucose. Full blood count, liver function, kidney function, lipids. Think they are all standard for diabetics, except (possibly) liver function which needs monitoring for any signs of side effects to a med Im on.

It can also depend on what country you’re in, your phrasing sounds like you’re in the US or Canada? Either that or I’ve just shown myself up to be spectacularly middle aged...
