This year I have 2 challenges. Run a 5K race for life & a London to Brighton bike ride. This is my way of losing the weight as I need an incentive :)

What have you challenged yourself to this year?

4 me a huge weight loss under way , and to walk the midnight memories walk in june to raise money for local hospice and lastly to raise some money for the cancer hosp .. altho me on my own not to sure how or were to start .. i wish you well on ur tasks keep us informed how you do xx

Break the weight loss down into smaller chunks. Aim for half a stone first then next & so on you'll probably find it easier to stick to a diet.

Good luck Cath hope it goes ok.

Thanks will do :)

I'm running a 5K for the British Heart Foundation in March. I want to do another one in June, and something else toward the end of the year.
I'm quickly losing motivation, and need to up the ante!

myself, I will NOT kill anyone this year (nowhere to hide the bodies anyways)

and two, to get a firm handle on this diabeats thing, start as I mean to go on and not flake out!

oh and also not to fail at Uni :)

Wow, makes my wee goal seem a tad insignificant but for me it's big. I have to make EVERY day count as a good day. I hate going to bed knowing I didn't do my utmost best for my health during the day. It seems like a wasted day these days. Oh, and I will stop procrastinating about exercising a bit more each day. I find exercise difficult as my knees don't work like they used to and protest at too much, but even I can do just one more minute on the exercise bike can't I? Go me!

Does it have to be diabetes related/exercise related? If not. I want to get a little business off the ground, I make cushions and quilts all patchwork, and bags, in fact anything with fabric. So that's my 'must do' this year.

Good luck with your little business, Dawn.

Eat more fish. How's this for a big cod? Beats what they serve up at my local chippy.

T2, Metformin 850 Mg (1 tablet twice daily), venlafaxine 75mg (1 tablet daily), buscopan 10mg (2 tablets 4 times daily)

This year going I'm to make my garden look like a garden, rather than a wilderness. Cabbages rather than nettles. Also going to make my husband understand it is diabetes, not hypochondria, that's going to be an uphill job.
