Just a bit of background info . . .
I was diagnosed with Type 2 recently and saw the DSN almost a week ago. Everything went ok at the appointment and I handed in my urine sample and was told they'd be testing it for protein. I also had high blood pressure (162/100) and when tested by my Dr about 2 weeks prior it was also high although she didn't tell me the reading and told me not to worry (I'd found out my diabetes diagnosis at the Drs appointment).
Had a message left on my answerphone from the Drs surgery this morning but didn't get home until late this evening. The message was just someone giving me their name and asking me to phone them. They didn't say it was the surgery but when I checked the call back number it was the surgery.
So now I'm quite worried. Could they have found something untoward in my urine sample? Or could it be connected with the high blood pressure? Or both?
My fasting blood sugars, I feel are not overly high. My first test was just over 8 mmols and the second was just over 7 mmols with HbA1c of 44.
I can't do anything until tomorrow morning and just know I'm not going to sleep well for worrying. I know I should try to "forget" it but stressing now
