at the moment there seems to be three to four ways to go in a direction of a cure .. no real cure in most cases but a control of condition
1.It seems people that get a gastric bypass surgery get rid of diabetes often even only a few hours after having the operation.
2.a. intermittent fasting that greatly reduces insuline levels in type 2 diabetics and also seem to better the production of certain beneficial healthy substances like for instance growth hormone and other I dont know name of
2.b.People that do the ketogenic eating style get their blood glucose and even more important their insuline levels down in the normal area which seems to elimiate the core problem of high blood glucose of cause and better insuline resistance..
3. people doing the low or lower carb eating style not to the ketogenic extend but low enough to get in the normal non diabetic level
4. People doing lots of exercise regaining the ability to store glucose in muscles
( up till 30 % bettering of insuline resistance in diabetics with servere insuline resistance)
does it elimiate the higher risk in diabetics to have cardio vascular diseases ? we don´t know for sure, as far as I know there is no real great statistic evidence yet.
I seems loosing a lot of weight at least in statistics till now does not give a longer life in diabetics... but maybe that is because diabetics can loose weight for very many different reasons also extreemly unhealthy reasons..caused by te disease from uncontroled diabetes.

and then some research points in the direction of changing gut bacteria... that maybe one of the core problems in diabetes could be a changed gut bacteria combination and/ or a reduced variety of gut bacterias..:
