I think in a modern diabesity environment the figures would br surprising. There would be bound to be age differences as our internals become less efficent.
Ideally the insulin levels would be a key measurement.
A bit off topic in this very interesting thread, but I had lunch with my 78 year old not skinny aunt yesterday. She has a weakness for kfc and thats what we eat whenever I take her shopping. She is extremely supportive to me and always interested in my diet.
Anyway, I had some plain chicken and she had 6 chicken wings in batter, chips and coleslaw. Then a cup of black tea with 3 sugars.
She saw me checking my bgl and asked me to do hers.
Pre food she was 4.7. 90 minutes later 5.8. 2 hours from first bite she was 5.1
From my very scientific results I have concluded that life can be very unfair!
