I was out doing caring stuff today and at times was wishing I'd put something much warmer on despite rushing around.
Breakfast kefir then bacon and egg
Just coffee while out and about - I always pack a flask.
Dinner chilli plus a couple of hm frozen new potato chips cooked in goose fat and a warming much needed glass of claret. Just had some 100% Montezuma chocolate with decaffeinated coffee.

A flask is such a good idea, I always used to do this and stopped for unknown reasons! I will start again, it means saving a bit of money on buying coffee and also not getting tempted by the things sold along with it!

I can't quite get my head around how cold it is. Also the ongoing symptoms with my bug are intermittent hot/cold flushes so one minute I'm putting on a fleece and the next I'm flinging it off and putting on a fan!

I've not been tempted yet to even get our fan out of the loft but I'm certain it was out of the loft and in use this time last year. We were looking after our youngest sons dog and not only had fan on but as he had a tummy bug and a temperature we were wrapping him in cold wet towels! It was about 30 degrees - mind you I don't want it that hot either!

I struggle a bit with feeling too warm, ever since perimenopause and now in menopause - the only time I feel too cold is when we're having a genuine arctic blast or I have a bug! Working in the garden today was great, the cold breeze was nice while I was moving around.

Had a really lovely long sleep last night, first in ages where I haven't needed the loo in the night or woken early.
But, strangely, have felt tired all day.
Brunch was a 90 second bread with some cheese
Dance class
Then afternoon doing admin on the pc. So cold!!!
Hot chocolate with Baileys.
Dinner, another winter special of sausages, celeriac mash and red cabbage. All from the freezer

Thank you

Come on @Antje77, we need to know how the day gully sucking went
Gully sucking won't happen until Tuesday thankfully!

Today the challenge is to share or not share a bed with my neighbour.
Some serious tendonitis seems to be going on (knock wood) in my right shoulder, living on paracetamol and ibuprofen.

Fingers crossed it's a false alarm and my arm will work fine next week.

Hot chocolate with Baileys? Flasks? Wear something warmer? It’s June. Seems like you are all having a slow cold start to summer. Hope it warms up for you all soon.

Did spend the night with my neighbour, slept very well!
First half of the night painkillers did the job, second half the pain in my shoulder started to significantly lessen, haven't taken painkillers since. And I turned off my phone to spare us the alarms from a new and not yet calibrated sensor.
Maybe not very sensible, and I did wake up slightly below 4, but definitely worth it!

We shared shawarma and garlic sauce yesterday evening.

Breakfast: wasn't really. Em came in on her way to school. Her mum had had an epileptic fit (she was OK) and her dad dropped her off here early, on his way to work, to let her mum rest. She had tea and 11/2 crumpets and butter for her breakfast with a cup of tea. I had half of the 2nd crumpet. Then I had a few from a small bunch of grapes she accepted to complete her breakfast. BG shot up to 12.9! Silly me. Took a correction dose and Libre has just told me I've dropped below 4. A cup of tea should fix that.

I have the cabbage and pork dish cooking for later - also added some bits of turkey burger to get them used up. That'll be for later in the day.

Hi all, another weekend rolls around. Weather meh, definitely think it was a bad idea to go on hols in April and then not til Nov and spend the “summer“ at home! Oh well, gives us something to moan about This weekend’s challenge is to make a vegan,gf, low carb dinner on Sunday. I am going to do a veggie, lentil, lasagne. Was going to use courgette slices instead of pasta but makes it too watery I think,so going with gf lasagne sheets and leaving a corner with no pasta for me. Salad, coleslaw and then garlic bread for them should hopefully be ok. Hope all have a good weekend.

Felt a bit warmer today - mind you probably because I was doing a major clean of inside of our conservatory so I was out of the wind. Hadn't cleaned inside of the glass roof and Windows for a few years I think so was overdue! we had outside cleaned a few days ago so it showed up the internal dirt! So I was balancing on ladders much of the day! Planning to go out walking in a bit if I can avoid the showers - I don't like spending too long indoors.
Breakfast kefir then bacon and egg
Lunch some cheese, kimchi and LC seeded crackers
Dinner wild salmon, local asparagus and a few hm new potato chips cooked in goose fat and glass of cold dry white wine then LC lemon drizzle cake with decaffeinated coffee.
Hoping to get out into the garden tomorrow but forecast not encouraging.

Busy morning of errands. Was supposed to meet a friend for lunch but it ended up being a very pleasant dog walk instead.
B: a cold sausage and some cheese
L: better not spoken of. Cake was involved
D: steak salad and mushrooms. Strawberries. 1 small ice cream

And last night was a hot water bottle in bed too!
Our wind is coming from the Arctic
I've used an extra blanket over my duvet last week. That same duvet I've used all winter without an extra blanket. But this may have had something to do with the covid.
It definitely wasn't needed last night, sharing a bed with 5 dogs and a neighbour did the trick!
Sounds like the muscle relaxed .
Next time, massage may well help
And if it doesn't help it will feel good all the same!
Too bad neighbour refuses.

I think it was warmer today too, the forecast for my area showed rain and a thunderbolt for every hour but we only had a very brief shower, and a few short spells of actual sunshine!
