To be fair, I had a lot of smoked sausage and pork belly with my sauerkraut, I'm pretty sure you'd love my 'zuurkoolstamppot' unless you really hate sauerkraut, although perhaps not four days in a row. That's impossible to do 1 emoji for @Antje77 ! so many emotions and events. Think I'll settle for optimistic as you sound very positive about life, even after 4 days of sauerkraut
What an adventurous life you lead, Antje. Not sure I would have the courage - or would have had when I was young enough. But then, I did meet my man when I was 18, so romantic adventures weren't on the cards after that. Wasn't sure if it was a "like", a "winner" or an "optimistic". Probably all three, plus an "admire", if there was one.Today was the 4th day of sauerkraut mash (zuurkoolstamppot), second day on the bridge. So now I have my 'weekend' of two days off.
It started with a very nice surprise, a very long online chat on the bridge with Tom (the married man I accidentally fell in love with), who you may remember from last september. I may have kept some boats waiting a little longer than necessary, it's hard to remember you're working while unexpectedly chatting with someone who meant quite a lot, especially because I didn't expect a renewed contact at all.
Very useful too, talking to a witty and intelligent man who reads and can write was such a relief that it made up my mind about Mark, the one who spent the weekend with me. Mark is the sweetest man, but that's not enough, although it may be enough for a good friendship, depending on him. It had been bothering me, how to proceed with Mark, glad I got my answers.
After that, things happened very quickly, and a completely unexpected evening skinny dip after work took place with Tom, followed by two hours spent together in a very enjoyable way!
Likely a one-off, which is fine, he'll be on holiday and my infatuation has thankfully disappeared, but what an amazing start to the weekend!
Tomorrow morning I'll try to not eat the cake on the 25th wedding anniversary of a friend, and I'll have to make a plan for 3 days of food on the bridge starting on wednesday. I may be sailing with someone I've met through that dating site on tuesday which means no time to prepare food.
I had the second ice lolly yesterday. They're not only relatively low carb but also perhaps the best tasting ice lollies I've ever had, I'll need to buy more!Three ice lollies in a pack at just under 8 gr of carbs each, so two more more are in the freezer compartiment of the fridge on the bridge.
Evening meal was a very good tomato soup I cooked on monday and froze, I'll take a picture tomorrow.
