"What have you eaten" Parallel Chat

My SIL in Ayrshire got home from hospital on Monday. That was 61/2 months in hospital for a minor fall because, getting taken to hospital, her care package was taken away. She only needed to be there for a check-up and could have got home in a couple of days but before discharge the hospital wanted to check that her care package was suitable. That kept her out of the house for long enough for the existing care package to be withdrawn. It has taken the last 6 months to get another one in place. Because she has been in bed (lack of equipment at the hospital meant nurses couldn't get any of the long term patients there out of bed very often) for all that time, she can no longer stand at all. At almost 90, it's not easy to maintain muscles without exercise.

However, she's happy to be back in her own house, so everyone is relieved.

Breakfast was a 3-egg omelette and a slice of cheese (because I was still hungry) and a cup of coffee.

2nd meal will be some of the beef mince. Not quite carnivore because I had to put onion in it, but close. BG was still too high this morning and even higher after a cup of coffee. I read somewhere that tea does contain carbs, but coffee doesn't. That might be wrong. Or maybe it's wrong about instant coffee.

When I can get some shopping, I will have to concentrate on animal products since most of the things in the freezer have veg in them as well as the meat/fish/fowl.
