Ooh the soup sounds nice, what a good idea, sausage croutons. I am making a beef stew with low carb dumplings. Still on winter food here, definitely not salad weather!
Definitely not salad weather. Soup is a winter breakfast I enjoy when I have some available. Same tomorrow but I'll make some cheesey croutons with RyVita instead of the sausage ones. That'll be all the soup finished so I'll need to see about making more.

Hospital appointment at dermatology re a bump that won't heal. They don't think its anything but want to do a biopsy anyway. Surprised that by the time I was home again half an hour later that the next appointment there for next week! Sadly she thinks the redness is rosacea which could mean giving up alcohol!
Afternoon helping at old people's club.
D: chicken, leeks, condensed chicken soup. Coffee and brazil nut lc mug cake with extra cream ( was supposed to be coffee and walnut but needed to use up brazils)
Glass of red wine in pub at book club. Usual wide ranging conversation. Love my vibrant, intelligent women.

Breakfast: Cauliflower soup (the last of it) with cheesey RyVita croutons.

2nd meal will be sausages with onion gravy - need to get them used up now that they are out of the freezer.

Also need to think about making some more soup - depends on what veg I can find in the fridge to clear out before shopping day tomorrow.

Soup is made ready for breakfast, but I don't feel like having any at the moment. May just leave it until after I get back from the Health Centre with my newly bandaged legs.

Beef and cabbage all ready to go for 2nd meal so I just have to cook it when I feel the urge.

EDIT: had my brunch which was the mixed veg soup, including butter beans with some chickpea pasta added. Ended up with rather a lot of it, so will keep for tomorrow, and maybe the day after. Beef and cabbage cooking now for a bit later.

I've had cottage pie for lunch. I like the sound of dippy eggs and might have them for my tea. :) My grandson's fever broke last night so today has been spent washing sheets and his duvet cover and pillowcases. He was quite ill last night and I think a little frightened. He has never gone thro anything like that before and always when he has been poorly, his mum was there to comfort him. It's not the same when its your grandmother looking after you, no matter how much you love her. But he is on the mend so that's good news. :)

There's definitely something wrong with my hunger/fullness hormones.

Today I had:
A chunk of cheese before going supermarket.
100g corned beef.
100g proper milk chocolate
Another large chunk cheese.
Slept 2 hours in chair

Then because it s dinner time and I cook for hubby. I had, although I wasn't hungry
Half a corned beef crust quiche, cabbage and carrots

Now, an hour later I'm so full and bloated, have bad headache and eyes gone blurry.

Good news that he's on the mend. I daresay it's taken a lot out of him though.

Yes it has @Annb. He's very tired but he's started eating. He had some pasta and then later scrambled eggs so it's good news for him. Must admit I'm tired too. Was up half the night his fever broke. But I can catch up. Hope everyone has a happy Valentine's Day, you know....red roses and a very nice meal at a great restaurant! Is my head in the past???? lol.

Feeling a bit off again - had a bad night and that might have something to do with it. Minor chest pains again and very aware of rickety heart beat. So I just had some RyVita and Tartex fro breakfast. It was there right beside me and easy to do.

2nd meal will be more of the cabbage and beef from yesterday.

Ah - those were the days. I still have most of my Valentines cards and hand-written messages from way back then. I daresay Neil will dump the lot when I have shuffled off....

Hugs to anyone who finds Valentines Day difficult. Know you are loved, even if there are no roses or cards

It's our 30 something one so just a card each, and he bought me some lc coconut macaroons. I allowed him to buy himself a new phone haha

We met with family "halfway" for pub lunch. They drive for 90 minutes, so do we and meet in the middle of the county, aka as Reading..
Except communication lines got crossed and hubby booked a table at the wrong pub, then family drove to a second wrong pub. We did all eventually get to the right one amid much laughter.

B: ff greek with a small pear and milled seeds
L: shared a whitebait starter, then eggs and ham hollandaise on bubble and squeak. 1 glas wine spritzer and a large pot of mint tea.

Dreadful traffic journey back

Light supper of cheeses and 2 of the coconut macaroons

I had 2 fillets of lemon sole with some salad for lunch and later had a cup of soup with a slice of ham. My bg is slowly coming down and so is the weight (at last) so I'm a lot happier. Next week I'm asking for a blood test to see if the A1c is coming down too. Fingers crossed. Have a happy Sunday everyone.
