I was given my crown in a little fairy bag for safe keeping with a reminder NOT to put it under my pillow as they might need it.I was going to like your post, but I'm more liking the result on your tooth - silver lining and all that!
Good news on the tooth front. Tbh I'd be happy with a student and a brick if he didn't charge a small fortune. My last visit to the dentist saw me handing over my life savings whilst he chatted to another patient about his upcoming trip on the Trans Siberian Exoress.
Breakfast - A little Alpen (!)
Lunch - ham and tomato omelette (yum)
Dinner - will be chicken and vegetables (carrots, broccoli, cauliflower)
Snacks - lubly jubly satsumas
Do you test after eating? I don't think satsumas will be helping the sugars.
I have been wondering recently if the benefits of the ND could be achieved with real food rather than shakes. What do you reckon?Breakfast two eggs scrambled, light benecol drink
Lunch 25g pate, slice ham, 12g cheese, celery, pickled onion
Dinner soup with ham and cold chicken
Drinks green tea, earl grey, decaff coffee
Today was my first low cal day - aimed at 800 but was probably nearer 900 but did over 100'cals on exercise bike. Trying to have a couple of extra low cal days a week to see if it has any effect on my BS levels. May build up to more as weather warms up. I was really taken by the presentation given by Roy Taylor on diabetes reversal and would like to try and shift this last stone and a bit sooner rather than later to see what effect it might have- my lingering weight is all a tyre round my middle so it would be good to see it go from a health perspective.

That's very interesting. Thanks, ethyl. I will have to give this more thought when I go back to work next week and have a routine again. I am thinking that home-made, batch cooked, "ready meals" in the freezer would take the thinking out of the equation. And eggs.Taylor seemed to suggest it was the weight loss by whatever method that worked .. So someone asked about. 5:2 and he said it was fine as long as you lost the weight. On the website it says that the low cal option is best if you can't lose weight at rate of 2 1// st in 6 months. I think that having a few low cal days a week is one way of reducing total intake and keeping metabolism on toes. I guess if you like cooking you should be able to come up with lots of suitable meals within the calories allowed. The upside of the shakes is that they are supposedly nutrient dense , require little preparation so you aren't always thinking about food and calorie restricted. I don't fancy the meal replacements so going to try this way.
