Saw a great idea for a low carb "treat" today, courgette crisps! ! Going to make some tomorrow, 100gm courgette is 25gm carb
Slice them up, brush with oil, sprinkle parmasen cheese on and bake until crisp!! Saturday night treat I'm thinking!
Welcome... Bravo... But crisps? Blimey... and pesto is high in carbs I think? Apple should be small or 1/2...New to this:

2 egg omelette, 15g cheese, lettuce, cue, pepper, toms
Chicken breast with pesto, cabbage, leek, pepper, broccoli
Apple, packet of crisps
Lots of water, 3 cups of tea (1 with almond milk)

I haven't had any advice yet and not on any meds, having a wait of a month for my first appointment at the surgery. The Pesto is 4.5% carbs of which 2.6 is sugars, I had a large teaspoon. Crisps were a bit of an error! But a small packet. The apple was probably medium sized.
I have taken it upon myself to purchase a meter and start testing, I was 13.6 in the morning (fasting - which is the same as my fasting test with the GP a week ago), it was 12.8 before bed and this morning 13.8?? Why did it go up over night?
Nosey is fine, if it helps me!!I have now lost half a stone since I saw the GP 12 days ago - down to all the things I haven't eaten - bread, cakes, biscuits, pasta, potatoes, chocolate, cookies. And I don't normally eat crisps, I don't actually enjoy them.

Hi CliveSaw this in dr bernsteins book, processed cheese slice toasted 'til it bubbles( on greaseproof paper) then in freezer for a minute, makes great " bread"

I do something similar with Edam. Put slices on greaseproof paper, sprinkle with salt, chilli and garlic powder, bake for 6 minutes then leave to cool. Makes virtually carb free "Doritos" for shovelling salsa and guacamole.
