While researching whether or not flax and linseed are the same, I found a really interesting website on flax and it's health benefits...

http://www.healthyflax.com/flax-faq/

A farmer in the UK states on a YouTube video that the flax plant produces lots of fiber but less seeds, and the linseed plant produces less fiber and lots of seeds. So it sounds like when we buy flax, we are actually buying the seeds of the linseed plant, but the seeds are labeled and marketed as flax.

Think I lost the plot somewhere in that post

mehhh2015, I think I got everything I need to make this today.

I found a round, microwave safe, 5" dish with 1" sides. Will that work? Do I need to butter and flour the dish first? Curious as to what you use.

Hi winnie... I'm sorry I just saw your message, no need to butter and flour the dish, just mix it all directly in the bowl and put it in the microwave oven. that's all

you can buy ground flax seeds from sainsbury and holland and barret.

Looks lovely.... How did you make your chocolate orange pots please?

Thanks, but my Sainsbury isn't big enough to carry them. The nut/seed selection is very small. Didn't even have any Cashews left today - luckily I found I already had some when i checked my box....They extended the store a couple of years ago then REDUCED the size of the food section and increased the clothing/household goods sections

Defo NOT paying Holland & Barret prices :***::***:

Yes, you can adapt the recipe, there are tons of different versions on the web... mine is just a straightforward one cause I can't be bothered with complicated ones.

I have used almond meal but it increases the amount of carbs a bit... so I prefer to make it just with ground flax and it works out just fine for me. My whole breakfast is under 5grms of carbs so that keeps me happy until lunch time and doesn't increase my BGs.

B - 2 egg omellette with ham mushroom and a little cheese
D - braised steak with runner beans and a few peas with onion and mushroom gravy followed by banana and cream with a sprinkle of chopped nuts
T - chocolate eclair which was naughty but so nice served with extra cream
