Cauli bhaji! Please supply recepe. I looked at onion bhaji in the supermarket yesterday and put back because I thought carbs were too high
That's 2lbs per week in "real money"White bread and donuts !!!
No, but that's what husband asked me to buy at Asda this morning. I said, no! He said the donuts are only 50p.
This is not helping me, I need to stay strong.
I can do this. 31st Jan I was. 78.3 kg. Today 76.7 kg. Not a big drop but it's going in the right direction.
You've done great on the food side. Hard when hubby won't get onside to help with cravings. Hope your mood lifts and tomo is better day for you xThis will be a first for me.
I am going to cook roast celeriac, roast swede, roast onion all with a sprinkle of rosemary.
Plus a quorn type veggie burger, and i think i have green beans in freezer.
Yes have already opened the red wine.
On the upside i have not touched the donuts that husband asked me to buy this morning.
On the down side, have eaten too many peanuts while watching rugby.
Not having a good day today, personal problems, depression knockng on the door. Ha Ho
Think I lost the plot somewhere in that postWhile researching whether or not flax and linseed are the same, I found a really interesting website on flax and it's health benefits...
http://www.healthyflax.com/flax-faq/
A farmer in the UK states on a YouTube video that the flax plant produces lots of fiber but less seeds, and the linseed plant produces less fiber and lots of seeds. So it sounds like when we buy flax, we are actually buying the seeds of the linseed plant, but the seeds are labeled and marketed as flax.![]()
mehhh2015, I think I got everything I need to make this today.
I found a round, microwave safe, 5" dish with 1" sides. Will that work? Do I need to butter and flour the dish first? Curious as to what you use.
Yes, for tuna salad I do like the sweet and sour pickles.![]()
As I was preparing to add them, I read the ingredients list and noted sugar was listed before vinegar, then noted a serving is...5...pickles at 9 grams of carbs which is 1.8 grams per pickle. Not good.
So instead of using 12 pickles, I used 6 (10.8 grams), and much to my delight, it tasted every bit as good. I split the tuna salad between 2 meals so took a 5.4 gram carb hit, but after thinking about it more this morning, I'm thinking it's okay because there are no carbs in the tuna, mayonnaise, or cheddar. Yay!
I'm so glad you got me thinking more about this because my old way of eating tuna salad for lunch was 28 grams of carbs- (two pieces of toast (22 grams), and 6 pickles (11 grams) - and now it's only 5.4 grams or carb.
That's a big change.

you can buy ground flax seeds from sainsbury and holland and barret.Me too so think I will give it a try too. It was only when someone mentioned the nutri bullet thing having a grinder attachement that I remembered my food processor has a mini grinder for nuts and coffee beans and stuff so that should do for the flax seeds and @Susikav did similar with ground almonds and walnuts.....must copy them to my notepad before they get lost way back along the thread
Looks lovely....Breakfast: Green tea and lemon, decaf coffee with cream (coconut oil still hasn't arrived - surprisingly I am gaining weight without it) and a slice of Stracciatella cake.
Brunch: Smoked salmon and scrambled egg with toasted flax bread/sliced bun
Lunch/afternoon tea: Baked camembert and chorizo with crudite and stuffed olives shared with Mr TP. Slice of Stracciatella cake.
Valentines dinner: Fillet steak with roasted mushroom filled with blue brie and chorizo, roasted tomatos, rocket and a dijon sauce. Chocolate orange pots.
Drinks: 2 teas with semi skim milk, water glass of red wine and diet coke
Hope you all had an enjoyable valentines day of food x

Guilty...Sounds nice. Might try it with coconut flour....... Sounds like you are like @Brunneria and I for doing it your own way......rather than exactly what recipe says
