Ok guys,

Can someone please explain what is happening to my BGL post 4-5pm? I seem to get a spike every day at that time since being on MDI (never got it on pre-mixed twice day).

Is it?

Some kind of aftermath of my 1pm meal usually about 50g carbs 20g fats and around 60g protein?
Levimer running out? I take Levimer once day at about 8:30pm
Some other random ****?

I usually take a 2-3 units of NovoRapid around 5pm in order to stop a further rise.

See the 7 day graph as an example.

Many thanks in advance.

What are your activity levels like during the day?
If you are more active in the morning, you may see an afternoon spike.

Or, it could be a need for split dosing for your lunch relatively speaking 20g fat may cause a double peak.

During the day I have breakfast, walk to train station and get to work so not a huge amount of activity
Afternoon sitting around at the desk apart from walking out to get lunch
Evenings is when I train straight after work so I'll punch a few units in to control that rise and also I need to have at least 1-2 units of IOB in order to stop the training spike from heavy weights.
