what is the best diet drink you have had? even own brand ones, I used to drink coke (full fat) and I haven't found a diet coke that I like suggestions please. not just diet coke any diet drink that doesn't have the awful after taste.

I do drink flavoured water but bottled ones, I might buy one of those infusers.

Diet drink? An oxymoron. How can you drink something that makes you thinner?

Before we all get up in arms here is the definition of an oxymoron.

An oxymoron (usual plural oxymorons, less commonly the Greek-style oxymora) is a figure of speech that juxtaposes elements that appear to be contradictory. Oxymoronsappear in a variety of contexts, including inadvertent errors (such as "ground pilot") and literary oxymorons crafted to reveal a paradox.

Are we just talking about fizzy drinks here?

Diet Coke is nice with a slice of lemon and ice, also Schweppes Slimline Bitter Lemon is very refreshing.

I tend not to drink many carbonated drinks as they gas me up now, but do enjoy the Robinsons Sugar-Free Squash range, particularly the Orange & Mango flavour :)

I'm a bit odd now I'm on Metformin. I love PLJ in a glass of water. It used to make me screw my face up, but it tastes fine to me these days.

Here I recently tried Diet Cranberry Ginger Ale, from the Canada Dry stable. It is the most alarming, almost glow-in-the-darkinky red, but tastes remarkably good. I'm not sure I dare bring myself to look at the additives just yet whilst I have another can in the fridge. ;)

I would drink tap water but what comes out of our tap tastes foul and is laced with fluoride. So it's bottled water for us.

Peckham spring quenches after long day down the market...

I've started drinking water with 2 slices of lime and 2 of lemon in. I put the fruit into a plastic sports type water bottle (widish neck) at night and 3/4 fill the bottle with plain tap water (luckily our tap water is very good) then put it in the freezer until I go to work in the morning. I top the bottle up with cold water, just to give the ice a kick start to melt. Then throughout the day the ice slowly melts and I have a bottle of sugar, additive free flavoured chilled water :)

Water, mineral water, Vichy Catalan, St Yorre, Malvern water - water! Try it, take you a week to lose the requirement for sweetness / chemicals, then you'll love it, and so healthy! Sometimes I add a 40ml shot of frozen freshly squeezed fruit juice (grapefruit / orange / lemon), approx 8 g carbs if you've got it to spare, and lovely. Ditch the artificial **** is my advice.
