Evening,

I want to have a bash at a low or certainly lower Carb intake.

I have been cycling, jogging and walking but I feel the cut in carbs and insulin will be a huge benefit to me.

I am a type 1 and I have been on a pump for a few months now, but I don't know what cook book will be the best to follow.

Thank you in advance.

RoDnEyBoY.

I just got a really good cooking book called Low Carb Revolution. Did you mean cookery book? As there are other books too eg on the science of low carb which I find really motivational in which case you can't beat Gary Taubes.

Dukan diet cook book is excellent, amended French cuisine. The recipes are all very low fat, so I just add butter, cream and cheese to them to fit this way of eating.

Try your local library - they often have a few low carb recipe books.
I bought Atkins low carb book recently from Poundland :-)

My favourite cookbook is Rose Elliot - Low Carb vegetarian diet, some very nice recipes in it.

I love the Rose Elliot books too, but they do tend to rely a lot on soy protein so not good if you can't tolerate soya.

I love the low carb gourmet too. There are a lot of principals/techniques in it that you can apply to your own recipes, which I find always make the best cookbooks. I also got it on amazon. Good luck with your low carb lifestyle!
