What should blood sugar levels be 4 hours after eating in non diabetics?

So my readings have been going fairly well. My fasting morning glucose (IMPORTANT: able to record at 10am, so not sure if Dawn effect messes with it) is between 4.8 and 5.6 on average, and this was confirmed by a veinous blood test at 5.2 MMOL. (also at 10am)

However my post meal sugar is worrying me. After the 90 minute to 2 hours mark it's usually around 7.8 or less, so right on the border of diabetic, but not quite. However on a whim I decided to start checking my sugar at the 4 hour mark, such as before bed. My sugar remains around similar levels to the 2 hour mark after all that time! Is this normal or should I worry?

Hello @GreatGateway Have a look at this page: https://www.diabetes.co.uk/diabetes_care/blood-sugar-level-ranges.html

Ideally before meals you should be back in range, so around 4-5 hours later, however you've not said what you consumed before this reading was taken.

If you feel unsure about your results and have also taken this reading on a number of times to rule out meter error then it's best to see your GP as they are best placed to look at this in more detail with you.
