What to do- sore throat

starting to get a sore throat. What should i do?!

Previously would have had strepsils, lucosade, fruit juice and giant choc buttons to help!!! Obviously I have seen the light and know I have to avoid all of those?! So what do I do other than blame some snotty child at school???
 
Gargle with warm salty water every couple of hours.

It'll probably be gone by tomorrow. Works a treat.
 
There will be products at your pharmacy that are suitable for people with diabetes, ask tomorrow if your throat is still sore. Personally I just find paracetamol and hot drinks are as good as anything.

I read its because sore throats are caused usually by bacteria and they absorb the salt till they explode.

One of many old wives tales that has a basis in scientific fact.
