I rang up for the results of my GTT and was told that the results were ok and the Doctor had written on the notes to file them. Out of interest I asked what they were - fasting - 7.1, 2 hours - 11.4. I'd been on the Diabetes UK site by then and knew what the NICE cut offs were so I asked them to double check, she put me on hold and came back 5 minutes later offering me an appointment with the GP to 'discuss the fact you're diabetic'. The appointment was 7 days later.
My reaction was deep despair, I felt so completely alone and not hugely confident in the support I was going to get. Good job I found this place.
