What was your bg reading last night and this morning?

I didn’t take the reading last night and I didn’t use metformin. This morning it was 6.1

7.6 this morning! not happy.
7,0 last night.

This is after cutting Metformin down to a single 500mg per day for three days now. Nausea is gone but numbers creeping up (at least fasting. Rest don’t look bad). Doctor thinks trying a Gliptin for a few weeks is good but i am hesitant. Can not make up mind. Maybe I will seek a second opinion from a endocrinologist..

What is you diet and lifestyle? Are you t1 or 2

T2 diagnosed about September last year. Diet moved from carb heavy to moderate carbs (complex) and quite regular at gym till January. In February fractured foot and been very inactive waiting for recovery. Overall since diagnosis numbers have come down but not yet at ideal stage. Still trial and error on medication as Forxiga initially helped drop numbers and weight but started having bad side effects. Right now only on Metformin 500mg... Unable to decide if i add Gliptin for a few weeks and see progress or just wait it out till my leg is out of cast and i can start getting more physical which is probably 3-4 weeks still

7.5 this morning...

In other news, foot is out of cast... but feels so sore and numb... starting some gentle walking
.. and some physiotherapy.. hopefully back on feet soon... fingers crossed

FGB today is lower than the 7.X i have been recording recently. So not too bad. I am seeing doctor today for some follow up checks.
